North West : Arnside$

Arnside is on the south side of the estuary of the river Kent. Fishing is either into the low water channel or generally from the shore at high water. There are areas of quick sands which move location and a fast tidal bore on spring tides so do not cross the channel. A siren warns of the incomming tide (sometimes!).

Fishing is mainly for flounders which are sometimes numerous but there are eels and occasionally small bass and whiting. Mullet occur in the hot summer months. Any sea-trout caught must be returned unless you have the correct licence and it is in season.
$

North East : Doverstrand$

Doverstrand is a 4 mile stretch of wall along the River Humber at Immingham, there are bays along the wall every 50 yards or so where you can turn and park your car and fish alongside your car.

If it is blowing a gale on the coast, you will allways get a line out here as it is quite sheltered, feeding fish can be can be located as little as 30 yds to 70 yds from the wall.

Can get quite crowded at weekends so choosing a midweek tide may be a better option.
$

Easy access for all fish from your car boot! mixed bag from this mark cod, bass, flatties, whiting, coalfish. 3 main areas to fish from the carpark at the bottom of the bank (a decent chuck is needed as is a high tide), the railings on the road side in front of the houses (beware of the cars! also a high tide is needed) and the beach just as you go out of sandsend on the way to whitby (fish any state of the tide but 3 hrs before high upto 2 hrs after works well). good fishing can be had from all of these marks.
$

North East : horden$

long beach mark with a few differing types of ground, big backwall/bank that the sea does get to, meaning you will need to be on it if big tides, big swells, very little lateral flow but even heavy sinkers with grips will move in heavy seas, the beach changes often from sandy to rock stewn depending on the previous few days weather/seas

north and south ends are more rocky

North West : The Bull's Nose, Preston$

A productive and comfortable mark on Preston docks. Easy access, even for disabled anglers and you can park your car right next to where you're fishing on those cold windy days! Plenty of Dab/Flounder and the odd bass. Fishing is best from high tide to about 2 hours after, and heavyish sea tackle is needed to combat the tide/current.

North East : Craster Rocks$

A coast line of steeps sloping smooth rock which slopes straight into deep water. This is a rock mark, but the only risk of looking tackle is a line of kelp all along the coast line. So long as you can cast more that 50 yards and you bring your tackle over the top of it on the retreive, you shouldn't have any problems.$

you have two piers to fish from all of my fish and my lasses dads have come off the south pier expect to lose some gear but as allways youve got to be in the sh1t to win if you stand right on the end and sidewards cast about 80 yards there is a small patch of sand where u can catch a lot of cod in the winter (pb 11 half pund) dogfish, conger and pollack in the summer during winter make sure you get there about an hour before you want to start fishing cause the pier will get choka block $
