North East St Marys Island - Whitley Bay 2007.11.05 381

This well known landmark is a great all year round mark. Its a heavy ground mark with the possibilities of big bags of codling , fishing to the north of the lighthouse into Crispins Gulley , best fished three hours before low water and 3 hours on the flood when the rocky outcrops and gulleys are exposed.Tackle losses can be high so its advisable to use rotten bottom tactics,The lighthouse is accessible via a causeway and tide times are available near by but it doesnt stay submerged for long and its easy enough to see when you can get across.
North East hartley 2008.04.30 381

a number of rocky skeers running out 2 sea, rough ground with thick kelp & can b very tackle hungry.

hartley skeer is the big skeer 2 the left as u get down the steps of the cliff. 2 the right of the steps the next skeer is known as the crescent skeer which is the only crossing on2 hartley island.

South & West Scotland Mull of Galloway 2007.08.29 373 This is the most southerly tip of Scotland and it provides great sport for many anglers. There are many Scottish records held here but anglers are warned to take extreme care as the paths and rocks can become very slippery. The Mull of Galloway is a working farm and Anglers are warned that fences have been erected to prevent stock losses, and care is required.
South & West Scotland Terally Bay 2007.08.24 359 Many species can be caught here at most states of the tides, although most anglers prefer fishing from low water up. Night fishing is also popular here.
South West Capstone Rock 2007.09.03 359 Capstone rock is in the centre of Ilfracombe Devon, its easy access and relatively comfortable fishing straight into deep water.
North West Wales & Mersey Cemlyn Bay on Anglesey. 2008.01.11 348 Large shingle beach, onto sand. Rougher ground at each side of the bay where rocks extend out to sea. Fairly large car park next to the beach.
South West Bossington Beach 2007.09.03 346 steep sloping beach with larger than average shingle/pebbles.Deep water close in.
East Anglia Sea Palling Reefs 2007.10.08 340 Golden Sands and deep lagoons are on offer in between these man made offshore reefs, with easy access and comfortable beach fishing this is a great venue. However it does get very busy in the summer months so early mornings or evenings is probably the best times, along with the winter months.Looking to the left from the main beach entry point you can see in the distance reefs one and two which can both be accessed in the last 3 hours of the ebb, can also be fished using float gear or spinning , however be warned the rocks are slippy in wetter conditions.
North East Velva Liquids 2007.10.01 335

Now known as the walkway this housing estate was builton the site of the old velva liquids factory, I used to fish there when the site was closed and ready for demolishion. And it was an uncomfortable place to fish. Now? its a nicely paved promenade in an exclusive area of shields.Fishing here on neap tides thru daylight and darkness can produce mixed bags of colaies, codling , flounder and eel.
East Anglia Breydon Water 2007.09.19 326 Situated in Great Yarmouth, Breydon water is a large estuary and can provide quality sport on light tackle.Various areas can be fished but one of the more popular spots is to the right of the bridge over from the Asda carpark
East Anglia Cromer pier 2007.12.27 322 A good winter venue when it is too rough to fish elsewhere. Easy sheltered fishing with lighting and seating. We have caught cod up to 11lb here so bring a drop net. Avoid casting too far forwards as it can be snaggy there. Usually best on right hand side, but one night a guy had an exceptional catch of cod in the teens on the left hand side. On balence Gorleston jetty by the coastguard building late at night has been better for me,
North East The Groyne 2007.09.13 318
East Anglia salthouse 2008.05.13 314 shingle beach with patches of sand and a bit of ruff ground in places not normaly snaggy only been there once where it has been snaggy and it was ruff and that was about 200 yards to the right.
