East Anglia Cromer pier 2007.12.27 A good winter venue when it is too rough to fish elsewhere. Easy sheltered fishing with lighting and seating. We have caught cod up to 11lb here so bring a drop net. Avoid casting too far forwards as it can be snaggy there. Usually best on right hand side, but one night a guy had an exceptional catch of cod in the teens on the left hand side. On balence Gorleston jetty by the coastguard building late at night has been better for me,
East Anglia Holme Dunes 2007.10.16 Although not many fish the shallow beaches further along the coast from Weybourne, there is one venue that stands out and is a local secret so to speak. At the village of Holme near Old Hunstanton is Holme Dunes National nature Reserve a very quiet and scenic area so care must be taken when fishing here.Parking is at the reserve and a fee is payable which at the time of writing was £4 a day. This is a high tide bass venue, and a close inspection at low tide is advisable toget a good idea of where the gulleys run.
East Anglia Sea Palling Reefs 2007.10.08 Golden Sands and deep lagoons are on offer in between these man made offshore reefs, with easy access and comfortable beach fishing this is a great venue. However it does get very busy in the summer months so early mornings or evenings is probably the best times, along with the winter months.Looking to the left from the main beach entry point you can see in the distance reefs one and two which can both be accessed in the last 3 hours of the ebb, can also be fished using float gear or spinning , however be warned the rocks are slippy in wetter conditions.
East Anglia Breydon Water 2007.09.19 Situated in Great Yarmouth, Breydon water is a large estuary and can provide quality sport on light tackle.Various areas can be fished but one of the more popular spots is to the right of the bridge over from the Asda carpark
East Anglia Weybourne Beach 2007.09.03 Weybourne Beach is the point on the Norfolk Coast where the cliffs of the east turn into the long shingle spit that finishes at Blakeney Point.Easy Parking and fishes to the left and right.
